Checklist for Harvard University Summer School Qualification:
1) Malaysian Citizen - Checked.Qualified
2) UTM undergraduates and have gone trough at least 1 semester in UTM with 3.0 and above CGPA - Checked. Qualified
3) A good command of English Language - Checked (approved by my Canadian's Friend and Lecturer and they are native speakers - maybe for having such a strong American accent T.T). Qualified
4) Physically present in UTM during application - I don't know yet
5) Have strong interest and able to demonstrate how this program will add value to your degree - at least I have some ideas now so yeah, checked.
On my way home, I had a chat with my dad (don't I always?). My dad asked me if I'm ready to go the summer school and I told him, I am very much prepared only I had to take either TOFL or IELTS to have the qualification. I also told him that I need at least RM550 to take the test. Then it occured to him to ask me if I know anything about the hostel fees. Because I had this idea that UTM will pays it all for the lucky five, so I just told him what I know but it turns out that I was wrong. Bapak told me that they only pay for the tuition fees and the ticket. The hostel ONLY will cost about 3k and I'm talking about USD. Convert it to RM, it'll be around 10k. I was shocked that I had the ideas of not going at all. 10k is not RM10. It's worth all the money to go hajj. If it's cost that much, no, I am not going. I'll just go off to the GOP in Sweden. Not as costly but I will still take IELTS, that is for my future and I might need it (because bapak said he will pay for the cost of taking IELTS, alhamdulillah)
But then bapak said he will confirm it all first, if we do receive some amount of pocket money. It's too impossible if they only support the tuition fees. Think of how much we will gain, the experience and what it does in upholding UTM's name. UTM can proudly say they have students in Harvard (not to show off but it will somehow upgrade the quality that UTM has already has, being the topxx university in South East Asia)

Tu la, patut letak dengan terang dan jelas supaya kite tak terlalu berharap... "aku berhenti berharap...." hehe tapi as long as there is way, I hope we will be able to go. Wish to there once again^^ Yup IELTS is a must, despite how much is the cost, as long as it doesn't reach 1K.
We all are Falah-ssi, after all we need to have something to retain the language T>T
