A fire department official said all stations were on alert for more blazes at religious buildings, ahead of planned nationwide protests Friday by Muslim groups angry over the use of the word as a translation for "God" by Christians.
The three-storey Metro Tabernacle church in suburban Kuala Lumpur, part of the Assemblies of God movement, was set ablaze in the attack which took place around midnight, said church leader Peter Yeow, 62.
"Witnesses saw four people smash the glass and throw incendiaries into the church building. They came on two motorcycles," he told AFP at the scene as fire department forensic officers picked through the wreckage.
There were no casualties in the attack on the church, which occupies the corner lot of a row of shop houses and which Yeow said draws some 1,500 people weekly.
"The fire destroyed the administrative part of the church. We do not know if the prayer hall on the third floor suffered any damage," he said, warning all other churches to "double their guard" against any attacks.
Is this their propaganda? To seek pity to search for attention? To reflect that Islam is such a violent religion? The Chimney will have no smoke unless there is fire.
If only we act with brain and use Al-Quran as our guide, this kind of thing will not be happening.
if only we fear Allah and we stay away from sins, this event won't take place.

I think we should not jump into conclusions too quickly saying that this thing is their propaganda, i.e. to seek Malaysia's pity.
There are also possibilities that the culprits are really muslims who do not understand what Islam is all about. Then they take matters into their own hands, out of blind rage and anger.
We must be careful in what we say. There si always the fiqh of da'wah in Islam.

What I meant to say was the propaganda from both parties but I can’t say my thoughts out loud as it was clouded by anger. I sat down and think for awhile after I posted this entry and Istighfar.
That was why I asked to use Al-Quran as guide and if we really understand Islam not by bit and half and really understand Islam with our heart, this kind of thing would not happen. We know ignorant people and we saw harsh people. I wish to see a full stop to all these fights and misunderstandings but it’s easier to say than done.
